The House is situated in a quiet location, completely surrounded by greenery, near to the town center, in the beautiful mountain village of Castagno D'Andrea [725m] in the town of San Godenzo, province of Florence.

Castagno D'Andrea, located on the Tosco-Romagnolo's Appennines, is the gateway to the "National Park of Monte Falterona, Campigna e Foreste Casentinesi" that receive people in search of the mountain and nature with the Park Visitors Center, the result of the merger between historical, cultural and natural territory.

In the village, surrounded by great chestnut trees and forests of pine, fir, oak, hornbeam, hazel and beech plenty of mushrooms, you can visit the San Martino's Church, where is a fresco executed by Pietro Annigoni, and donated to the village of Castagno D'Andrea.

Nature lovers can go for a walk or engage a long excursions by mountain bike, across the mountains Falterona [1654m], Falco [1658m] and Acuto, from whose heights one can admire a unique landscape from the Adriatic Sea to the Tyrrhenian Sea.

At the source of Borbotto, where there is a well equipped picnic area, starts the most frequented paths in the Florence National Park side. The right path goes to Gorganera, Le Crocicchie, Capo d'Arno and Lago degli Idoli, the middle path goes directly to the Mount Falterona, the left path goes to Piancancelli, Mount Falco and ski fields of Fangacci and Burraia.
